I am just at a loss for words with recent developments.
Mets blow it, Brewers win and tie with the Mets with four to go, and somehow Omar Minaya gets a 4-year extension.

A loss for words, eh? And yet, you're not at a loss for words when it comes to riling up the commies over at Rickey's blog... :)
I don't mind giving Omar an extension. He has shown himself not to be an idiot. Although he looks for the splash but also values his prospects. I want to see what he does with this team in the next three to four years. I am pretty confident he won't run it into the ground.

i do think giving omar that extension isn't overly terrible, because it's clear that mets' management/ownership is not very good at identifying GM talent, and they could certainly do worse than omar minaya. if they're not going to get a saber guy, minaya's about as good as they come.
