How do you feel, Thrilledge? When I was 22, I didn't have a blog dedicated to me, a forum for arguing my greater merits than a more experienced competitor. I was working in a warehouse for 10 dollars an hour (a lot of money back then [just kidding, that was last year]). I certainly wasn't hustling and bustling my way onto the roster of one of the
finest baseball franchises. Although, I suppose, as a recent college graduate, I was "getting my grown man on."
Our newly-minted man got his first AB of 2007 last night, coming in as a fielding replacement for Moises Alou in the bottom of the 8th before popping up on a 3-2 count in the top of the 9th against Jason Isringhausen. I hear he's wearing some sort of special padding on his bruised hand after taking a pitch on it during spring training. That's fine, as long as he's ready to go on Friday against Mark "MethodMan" Redman.
Here's to you, birthday boy!
